My Hair Regimen ...that actually works.

During the years, I have tried multiple hair regimens. Some I thought were great, until they weren't.

Some just would not work with my goals and lifestyle.

Before I share my current staple hair regimen that has been proven to help me retain length, I want to let you know my hair goals and the type of natural I am.

My current hair goal is a healthy bra strap length then waist length after. Also, I must state that I am a natural that likes to do silk presses. It helps me help me track my length and also keep my ends healthy. I noticed as well that keeping up with silk presses and being a natural that enjoys stretched out natural hair styles, helps me retain moisture in my hair. My hair is much softer. I don't struggle with dryness or single strand knots the way I used to when I first began my hair journey.

Now onto my hair regimen. Feel free to follow my regimen to the T or adjust as you see fit according to your hair goals and lifestyle. I feel very confident in my routine because I know it works. I would recommend following it religiously. Using this hair regimen for as little as 3 months will bring your hair drastic improvement, you will be amazed. Trust me, I have tried so many different routines and made so many adjustments to get to this point. If you have tried so many things and for some reason nothing seems to work TRY THIS.

HAIR REGIMEN 2024

Prepoo: Hot oil treatment 1-2x a month (before shampoo)

Shampoo: 2x a month

Deep Condition with heat: 2x a month (after every wash. Must deep condition hair at LEAST 1x a month)

Blow dry after every wash.

Protective style after blow dry. (Do a protective style that will last at 2 weeks but do NOT go over 3 weeks with hairstyle. Going over 3 weeks without cleaning your scalp can lead to dandruff, dry scalp and breakage).

Silk Press: 1x a month ( I do my silk press on 1 out of the 2 wash days from my routine. MUST deep condition with heat to prep and protect hair before heat styling)

During protective style week, oil and massage scalp 2-3x a week.

Cornrows with natural hair

Cornrows with extensions

Braids

Half/ curly wigs (daily removal)

Twists

Styles allowed occasionally

Lacefront wigs with glue

Wearing Afro out (braid out/twist outs)

🚫 Styles not allowed πŸš«

Tight buns

Wash and gos

(YOU ARE ONLY ALLOWED A PASS TO WEAR THIS STYLE ONCE A MONTH; LITERALLY ONE DAY OUT OF A MONTH)

Growth hack tips πŸ’‘

  • Wash and detangle hair in sections. Implementing this will help to greatly decrease breakage and excess shedding.
  • Never rush to do your hair . If you’re in a hurry just throw on a wig or wear your hair out in a fro, loose bun,  or any beautiful natural style.
  • Style hair in stretch/ blow dried state
  • Massage scalp at least 2x a week. This helps to circulate blood flow hence stimulating hair growth.
  • Eat healthy as much as you can (fruits and vegetables + balanced meals)
  • Take daily vitamins.
  • Stay active!
  • Reduce stress in your life as much as possible. This is such a huge factor that is not talked about enough.
Below are my results from using this hair regimen as well as the products I use on my hair:
